Today is my little sister's birthday. I have had so much fun working on her gift. I made an envelope album for her. It is my first such project. I really like how it looks so far. I still have to finish the inside tabs and send it off. I am late, of course. As soon as I have it finished I will post pics. I used direction from diynet. It was a very simple to create and alot of fun. The hardest part is deciding what to put in the pockets! :)


P.S. My mom went through surgury fine and is doing much better this evening.

i love my job! people crack me up. today when I asked if there was anything else i could assist with, the customber ask me for the meaning of life. of course i laughed and said i wish, but he was very serious and said why did you ask me if you couldn't help me. lol

i am just not really in a good frame of mind right now. i am just frustrated with every aspect of my life. my husband is driving me crazy and i just can't deal with his moodiness. i thought i was doing a good job at work, but tonight i have been told i made a mistake. it's just one thing after another. i haven't really been doing any art to help me deal with stress. everytime i go to work on my art my husband has an issue. i think he is just jealous that i have a hobby and he hasn't been able to do his hobby. his hobby is fishing, but his boat was stolen and we can't afford to by him a new one. he won't just go fish off the shore or anything. so since he can't do what he wants i am not allowed to enjoy my art. i am thoroughly frustrated with the situation.

i miss my family, my mom, dad, sissies and papa.

i just want to curl up and go to sleep.

Well, my original idea for a latch card didn't turn out so well so I decided to create this card. I really am pleased with the finished project. Now off to decorate the envelope.

I decided to make my mum a get well card since she had surgery yesterday. I am going to try to make a latch card. I am painting the background and using the flower "scenic route" paper. I haven't quite figured out the layout, but I have a good start.

yesterday went much better than expected. I was able to handle my "trouble" partner much easier than I thought. The rest of the week should be much easier. i am disappointed in that fact that I only get 1 day off before i start my new schedule. we have so much to do around the house and i really don't have time for any art. it is very frustrating and i am now very far behind in the art journal challenge. hopefully i will be able to get something done soon.

i am in my last week of training for my new job. it has been a long month. today i am partnering with the one person no one likes. he is an older man who is very rigid in his thought. other people who have sat with him have been frustrated because he interferes with the phone call you are taking and he always thinks he is right. i hope he doesn't get in my face today or i will tell him to step off! just four more days and i will be out of training and out on the floor by myself and on my own schedule. i can't wait until i can sleep in. i am not a morning person and have to get up at 6:00 for a month has really worn me down. now that i will be starting at 3:30 pm i hopefully will be much more energetic. now i am off to work.
