I am so freakin' happy to be starting work on the 11th.

my poor neglected site!

I started a blog for our family to regal them with wonderful and witty stories now that we live so far away from everyone. It has taken all my blogging energies away! I do miss writing on a site that no one knows who I am and doesn't really care what I say. On the other blog everything I write is misconstrued as these national disasters. I made a joke about our cell phone bill and said that no one could call us. It was meant as a joke, but everyone was very concerned that we wouldn't be able to pay our bill and oh no what was going on. Aaagghh!! (:

Families! Ya gotta love them. They check our site for the most mundane details. I mean how many times can you write that you went to Walmart. :P

so since we moved I haven't had a chance to really sit down and blog. My art really has suffered. I joined my art journal class and I haven't been able to actually participate in like 4 weeks. I miss journaling and creating. Right now all my energies have been put into finding a job. I think my husband will relax a little more once I am bringing home some cash. Then I hopefully will be able to work on my art journal without feeling so guilty. :)

Unconscious Mutterings

oh i forgot to say how that i had to wear the most hideous top to my interview. it was so embarrasing, but i didn't have anything dressy enough for the place i was interviewing at. i found out about the interview at 12:30 pm and the interview was at 3:30 pm. the closest place for clothes was Walmart. they had nothing cute at all for plus size women. the shirt i had to buy was purple striped with a matching tank top that looked like it was designed for very old women, not someone under 30. hopefully i wasn't penalized for bad style.

so today i had my first interview since arriving in Omaha. We have only been here one week so i thought that was pretty good. i actually drove and didn't get lost which is a huge plus for me! :) the interview went okay, but i know i made at least one big mistake. i tried to correct it, but i am not sure i succeeded. it was definitely a good practice interview at the very least. tomorrow i have a job interview with a placement agency which has several interesting opportunities available. we will see how it goes and hope for an offer soon.

Well, we made it to our new home in Omaha, Nebraska.
We arrived on Tuesday afternoon and moved in on Wednesday.
Today has been spent unpacking boxes.
Tomorrow I need to start looking for a job.

We are both glad to be in Nebraska.

Last night in California. Tomorrow we are off to Omaha.
We should arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I am excited.

Oops! It is actually Store Wars. Sorry about that.

Oh my goodness! I am so exhausted. We have three more days to complete our packing before we have to leave so I am wore out. I am worried that we won't complete it all, but i am sure it will work out somehow.

I can't wait until we get there.

We had a going away party on Saturday which was fun. It was hard to relax though because we both knew what needed to be done.

I can't imagine how it would be if we had our own house and a family.

i wasn't sure what to expect,
but i got a funny, sad, sweet,
romantic movie that i absolutely adore.

but i needed a break! :P)
